These are the main indicators of our social work for the community and for the elderly cause between December 2018 and March 2019:

• 187 was the number of carer-escorts to doctors and medical appointments within the Care Programme, which is available to everyone from our community;

• 66 home visits were made to the elderly people of our community in order to check their situation and provide any assistance needed;

• 42 people are enrolled in the activities of our Conviviality Centre;

• 15 people on average attend these activities daily.

The British Society São Paulo provides support for British citizens who are proven to be eligible for assistance. Over the years many people have benefited from the care and the educational, medical, financial or other aid provided by the institution that was founded in 1940 by British citizens resident in São Paulo. A group of Committee members carefully and compassionately considers each application, at all times ensuring the highest levels of privacy and confidentiality.
